WAVERLY, Iowa -- The St. Catherine University soccer team saw their season come to an end with a 2-1 double overtime loss to Washington University of St. Louis in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. St. Kate's finishes the season 13-5-4 overall and posted an MIAC record of 7-2-2.
The WashU Bears scored first in the program's first-ever matching against each other. They claimed the lead in the 9th minute of the opening half.

Ari Green scored the tying goal in the 25th minute with an assist from senior
Amanda Elton. For the third game in a row, the Wildcats went into double overtime, this time not finding the result the team had hoped for. The Bears scored with just three minutes remaining in the contest to advance to the second round.

Kate Praetz made six saves in the game playing the full 110:00 minutes. Elton led the shot count two shots on goal and four shots total. Campbell tallied five shots including the lone Wildcat goal and Kallie Tuominen finished with two shots and one on goal.
