ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The St. Catherine hockey team picked up their first Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) win on Saturday evening taking down Bethel 2-1 in overtime. With the win, the Wildcats snap their losing streak to move to 5-6 and 1-5 in the league.

Bethel went on to tie the game at 1-1 with 45 seconds left in the second on a power-play.
They played another scoreless third period with the Wildcats dominating the shot count 8 to 2 and forced their second-straight overtime with the Royals.
The same trio responsible for the Wildcats first goal took the ice for the five minutes of 3 on 3 play. This time is was Denchfield finding the back of the net for her first of the season. Her goal was assisted by Reimer off of Blair to clinch the win.
Senior Elizabeth Kubiceck earned the win making ten saves in the contest.
St. Kate's returns to Drake Arena again on Friday, December 10 hosting non-conference foe, the University of Wisconsin-Superior at 7 pm.
