NORTHFIELD, Minn. -- The St. Catherine volleyball team dropped a four set battle in Northfield to the St. Olaf College Oles. The Oles took the first two sets (25-20, 25-19) with St. Kate's taking the third (25-19) to force a fourth one but ultimately fell 25-17.
First-year
Lexie Petrick was the star of the show with a double-double hitting .320. She collected 12 kills, 16 digs, while also contributing two aces and two block assists. Senior libero
Julia Weiler tallied 17 digs plus an ace and two assists.

Todd Nelson said following the match, "I was really happy with the energy and focus we played with all night. Our preparation throughout the week was good and we ran into a really good team tonight."
The 9-9 Wildcats are at Hamline on Saturday, October 9 at 7 pm for a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) matching. The Pipers are 13-5 overall and 4-1 in the MIAC so far this season.
