COON RAPIDS, Minn. -- Round two of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Women's Golf Championships went in favor of the Wildcats moving into first place by a nine stroke margin. After playing only nine holes on Saturday due to heavy rain, St. Kate's holds a team score of 461 (+29) with one round remaining.
Jaycee Rhodes and
Greta McArthur are tied in second place on the individual leaderboard after 27 holes at 112 (+4) . Rhodes tallied pars on 14 of 18 holes with one birdie to lead the Wildcats at one over par. McArthur had eleven pars and three birdies finishing with a two over par 74.
Rookie
Kyra Venne was plus four in round two shooting 78 sitting in a three-way tie in 11th place. Making up the fourth score for St. Kate's on Sunday was senior
Kate Taylor shooting 79 (+7). Taylor is T14th after the second round with a 27-hole score of 119 (+11).
Senior
Sydney Brandt is currently sitting at +16 overall shooting 82 (+10) on Sunday.
St. Kate's is off the tee at 9:50 am with Brandt followed by Taylor at 9:58 am. Venne is third for St. Kate's going off at 10:06 am and Rhodes at 10:14 am. McArthur is scheduled for the final grouping on Monday looking to defend the MIAC Women's Golf Championship Title.
