ST. PAUL, Minn. - The St. Catherine hockey team was edged out by Augsburg University for the second game in a row on Saturday afternoon at Drake Arena. The Wildcats fell 3-0 to the Auggies on Saturday after dropping a game on Friday 4-1. The 8-12 Wildcats are now 5-9 in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) tied with the College of Saint Benedict in sixth place.
Augsburg scored their first goal in the opening period taking the lead at 6:09. St. Catherine was able to hold the Auggies off through the remainder of the period and through the entire second period until they scored again at 6:20 in the third period. Their third and final goal found the back of the net at 10:28 in the period.
The Wildcats are home on Friday, February 14 hosting Bethel University at 7 pm at Drake Arena before traveling to the Schwan Super Rink in Blaine on Saturday, February 15 at 3 pm.
