ST. PAUL, Minn. - The St. Catherine University hockey team played their final road game of the season against the No. 8 Hamline University Pipers. The Pipers defeated the Wildcats with a final score of 8-1 at Tria Rink on Friday evening.
Sophia Gorski scored St. Catherine's lone point netting a short-handed goal at 14:06 in the 2nd period. Tonight's goal was her tenth of the season ranking No. 2 on the team and T11 in the MIAC in her second season in purple and gold. Gorski had help from junior

Lexi Muller. Muller leads the team this season in assists with eleven while Anderson ranks second with ten.
St. Catherine trailed by just two goals after the opening period before allowing the Pipers to get a three-goal lead early in the second. St. Kate's short-handed goal at 14:06 brought the score to 3-1 with just over five minutes to play in the second period until the Pipers were able to squeeze one more goal in to close out the period 4-1.
With a goalie change to start out the third period, St. Catherine allowed four additional goals for a final score of 8-1 Hamline.
The Wildcats will play their final game of the 2019-2020 season on Saturday afternoon hosting the Pipers for game two of the conference series at 2 p.m. at Drake Arena.
