ST. PAUL, Minn. - The St. Catherine University swim and dive team had another record-setting day Saturday as the competed in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) dual meet. The Wildcats scored an overall 202 points to the College of Saint Benedict Bennies 97 points.Â
Head coach
Justin Zook said after the meet, "Today was an experience and moment our student-athletes will cherish. Over the last 28 years of competing, we had not gone head to head with College of Saint Benedict and come out victorious. Dual meets present a very different environment and atmosphere, one which we had not experienced this year. Any time you can get to the end of the first semester with finals coming up and go season bests, lifetime bests, and swim with a passion I think great things are in the near future. I am grateful for the trust our student-athletes have shown in the process thus far. Striving for continued progress is mentally and physically challenging, and we are asking our student-athletes to learn what it takes to do this in many areas of life. They continue proving they are up for the challenge and I am excited about what the rest of the season holds for the team."Â
