Kayla Engel was named to the Capital One Academic All-America Track & Field Second Team. The senior Nursing major was one of only twenty NCAA Division II, III, or NAIA student-athletes to be named to the District 5 team. She was also one of only three women in the MIAC to earn this prestigious award.
Engel recently graduated from St. Kate's with a 3.94 GPA, three individual school records, and five relay school records. Engel also picked up three MIAC All-Conference and 15 Honorable Mention honors, and was a four-year letter winner for the Wildcats soccer team.
