Laura Kalbfell was named the Wildcat Athlete of the Week. The senior basketball team captain had a double-double in both games last week as SCU took #16 ranked St. Ben's down to the wire in a tough 57-52 loss before rebounding to win 58-42 over Hamline.

Against Hamline Kalbfell also surpassed the 1,000 point mark for her career at St. Kate's, and moved to #6 on the St. Kate's career scoring list.

All told Laura had 31 points, 23 rebounds, 5 steals, 4 assists and 3 blocks during the Wildcats opening two games of the MIAC season.
