Kim Engel has been named the Wildcat Athlete of the Week after her strong performances helped the Wildcats finish third overall at the Capital City Championship Meet.

Running on the 4x 100 relay, the 200 and 400 meter dashes Kim had two second place finishes and one school record.

Engel broke the school record in the 200 meter dash with a time of 26.36. Her excellence didn’t stop there as she took second in the 400 meter dash with a time of 59.06. That time was a new personal best for Kim and moved her to third all-time St. Kate’s.

The Wildcats 4 x 100 meter relay team also turned in the new season best time as the team prepares for the MIAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships on May 14-15^th at St. Mary’s University.
