CelestineVentura has been named the Wildcat Athlete of the Week. The senior team captain continued her strong season with a first, second and third place finish in her three events at the Macalester Invitational.

Ventura won the discus throw with a mark of 37.31 meters (122-5ft). She finished second in the hammer throw with a season best toss of 43.75 m (143-06 ft). Ventura finished her collection of podium performances with a third place finish in the shot put (11.74m, 38-6ft).

Ventura’s outstanding efforts helped SCU to finish in a tie for fourth at the meet with 80 points.
