Tori Thompson (Hockey): Thompson is the second Wildcat hockey player to earn Fleur-de-lis honors thanks to her outstanding athletic, academic and leadership accomplishments. Over the last two weeks, Thompson has been one of the top defenders in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, helping St. Kate’s post a 5-0-1 record against conference opponents in the month of January. Thompson tallied a five-point performance in the Wildcats sweep of Saint Ben’s, as she tallied four points on Friday and scored the game-winning goal in a 3-1 victory on Saturday. The junior also excelled in the classroom during the first semester and has been a team leader on and off the ice. She currently leads the team in points (14) and assists (11) and in eighth in the MIAC in assists.

Sydney Grohman (Swimming & Diving): Grohman earns the first Fleur-de-lis honor of her career after recording career and season best swims in back-to-back weekends for St. Kate’s. At the Grinnell Invitational January 19-20, Grohman recorded season best swims in the 50 (25.6) and 100 (56.8) freestyle races and recorded a career best swim in the 200 freestyle (1:58), which ranks in the top-8 in the MIAC this season. More impressively, the first year’s split of 54.4 seconds in the 400 freestyle relay helped the Wildcats record a faster time than they had in all of 2015-16 in the relay, including at the MIAC Championships.

Gabby Page (Swimming & Diving): Page is the first diver to earn Fleur-de-lis honors thanks to a career season on the boards for the Wildcats. The junior diver has been nothing short of extraordinary for the Wildcats in the month of January, recorded career best scored on both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards. She earned the first NCAA Regional Diving Zone qualifying score of her career at St. Olaf on Saturday, January 20 and was .25 away from earning her second qualifying score this past weekend. Page has also been one of the top divers in the MIAC, as she leads the conference in 3-meter, six dives and the 1-meter 11 dives category.

McKenna Peterson (Swimming & Diving): Peterson is the third swimmer to earn Fleur-de-lis honors thanks to her outstanding start to the second half of the season. After struggling with injury early in the season, Peterson rebounded with an impressive second half, earning lifetime best swims in four different races at the Grinnell Invitational and in dual meets against Macalester and Concordia. The sophomore swam career best times in the 50 (26.6), 100 (56.8) and 200 (2:02.0) races at Grinnell, finishing in the top-3 in both the 200 and 500 freestyles races. Against Macalester, Peterson scored another career best swim in the 1000 freestyle of 11:18.70.

Elsie Lundquist (Track & Field): Lundquist has made quite the impression in her first season with the Wildcats, garnering the first Fleur-de-lis honor of her career. The first year standout recorded three top-5 finishes at the Vanessa Seljeskog Classic at Macalester on January 19, including top-3 finishes in the high jump and long jump events. Lundquist followed up those top-5 performances with two more at the Rival Falls Falcon Invite the following weekend, winning the high jump and finishing second in the long jump. Additionally, she made finals in the 55 meter dash, which was not her primary event. Lundquist already ranks in the top-10 in St. Kate’s history in high jump (tied 5th), triple jump (2nd) and long ump (10th).
