Greta Sieve has been named Wildcat Athlete of the Week after placing fourth, in a field of 229 runners, at the MIAC Championships. With her finish, Sieve became the highest placing finisher in St. Kate’s cross country history. Greta’s finish also earned her MIAC All-Conference Honors. 

She helped lead the Wildcats to a tenth place team finish with 276 points, which is the team’s best score since 2004. 

Sieve’s finish was a culmination of a steady progression over her four years at St. Kate’s.  With her hard work she has improved her time at the MIAC championships by four and a half minutes from her freshman season. Her finishing places have similarly progressed each season from 150^th, to 63^rd to 33^rd to 4^th this year. 

The cross country team will compete in the NCAA Central Region race on 11/14/2009 at Grinnell College in Iowa.
