The College of St. Catherine athletic department is pleased to announce that Chi Chi Obi (Woodbury, Minn.) has been named Wildcat Athlete of the Week for her performance at this weekend’s MIAC Championships.

Obi finished her junior season by putting her name on two brand new school records. Obi set a new school record in the 100 meter hurdles and was also part of the 4 X 100 meter relay team the broke the school record on their way to a fifth place finish.

“Chi Chi has done a great job of balancing her demanding academic schedule with athletics,” stated Wildcat head coach Mike Henderson. “She really had to manage her time well and worked out on her own a lot this season. She was always stopping by my office to get the workouts and really showed a commitment to excel on and off the track.
