First-year swimmer Jordyn Wentzel’s debut as a Wildcat has led her to second Fleur-de-lis award following an outstanding performance at the highly competitive Grinnell College Invitational where the Wildcats took first place. Wentzel’s finish in the 100 fly set a new program and meet record, is 5th in Division III and 1st in the MIAC. Her time in the 200 fly also set a new program and meet record, is 4th in Division III and 1st in the MIAC. The first-year recently noted to be potentially the most versatile swimmer in Division III, swam a lifetime best in the 100 and 200 backstroke, both good for 1st in the MIAC. Her 100 free finish set a new program record, ranks 1st in the MIAC, 10th in Division III while also setting a new meet at pool record at Grinnell College. In her debut season, Wentzel is in 1st place in all of her events she competed in individually and has set multiple top times in the conference. She currently ranks 1st in the following events in the MIAC; 100FR, 200FR, 100 BR, 200 BR, 100 FL, 200 FL, 100 BK, 200 BK, 200 IM.
