Sophomore standout, Franceska Hernandez-Nietling garners her second Fleur-de-lis award and first this season following an impressive performance at the Grinnell Invitational helping her team to a first place finish for the first time at the invitational. Hernandez-Nietling swam lifetime bests in the 100 fly, 400 IM, and 200 fly at the invitational finishing 2nd in the 200 IM 5th in the 100 fly, and 4th in the 200 fly. Her lifetime best finish by 9 seconds in the 400 IM was good for 2nd place. The sophomore was a member of the 200 free relay team that placed 7th at Grinnell. She also was on the relay team that finished 3rd in the 400 medley relay, 2nd in the 200 medley relay, and the relay team that finished 1st in the 400 free relay.
