ST. PAUL, Minn. — St. Catherine delivered a complete performance on Tuesday, sweeping Augsburg with an 11–3 win in game one followed by a 9–0 shutout in game two. St. Kate's is now 19-10 overall for the most wins since the 2023 season and ten regular season games remaining.
Game One: St. Catherine 11, Augsburg 3 (5 innings)
The Wildcats came out swinging in the opener, putting together an 11-run effort on 13 hits to take control early and maintain it throughout . Augsburg managed to push across three runs, but St. Catherine responded each time, using a mix of timely hitting and pressure on the basepaths to keep the Auggies at bay.
Helen McKinnon led the offensive charge with a perfect 3-for-3 performance with two runs and an RBI, while Mayci Larson added three runs off of two hits and contributed two RBIs. Larson's day included her conference leading, sixth triple this season, with Faith Bonse, Shylah Brogan and Kylee Kohout each adding doubles.
Alexa Carlstrom earned the win in the circle pitching two innings while Hannah Bernier closed out the final three innings striking out two.
Game Two: St. Catherine 9, Augsburg 0 (5 innings)
The Wildcats carried that momentum into game two, delivering a dominant 9–0 shutout behind a strong performance in the circle and another productive day at the plate .
St. Catherine limited Augsburg to just one hit, controlling the game from the first pitch and never allowing any offensive rhythm. The pitching staff stayed efficient, while the defense backed them up with a clean performance.
Offensively, the Wildcats tallied 12 hits and drew five walks, consistently applying pressure and taking advantage of scoring opportunities. Eight different players scored runs in their four innings at bat led by McKinnon with two runs off of two hits. Annabelle Cook also had a perfect 2 for 2 performance with one run and an RBI.
Morgan Wilson earned the win in the circle following a complete game allowing just one hit in five innings while striking out three.
St. Kate's is home again on Wednesday hosting Concordia College for a MIAC doubleheader at 3:30 pm.
