MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University tennis team continued their win streak with a 7-0 defeat over the St. Olaf College Oles. The MIAC win improves St. Kate's to 2-1 in conference play with an overall record of 9-3. 

The Wildcats opened the match by taking two of three doubles points to grab early momentum. The No. 2 pairing of Ryanna Steinhaus and Marie Pelletier set the tone with a decisive 6-0 victory, while the No. 3 duo of Melanie Gravdahl and Liliana Holmberg battled to a gritty 7-6 win. St. Olaf managed to take the No. 1 doubles match, but St. Catherine still claimed the point headed into singles.

From there, it was all Wildcats. St. Catherine swept all six singles matches in convincing fashion, showcasing depth across the lineup. At the top spot, Simon delivered a statement win, defeating Alexandra Berns 6-2, 7-6 in a competitive match at No. 1 singles.

The middle of the lineup proved especially dominant. Holmberg (No. 2) and Pelletier (No. 3) each cruised to straight-set wins, allowing just one and two games respectively. King added another strong performance at No. 4 singles with a 6-2, 6-1 victory.

At the bottom of the lineup, Steinhaus (No. 5) and Gravdahl (No. 6) closed the door, each earning straight-set wins to complete the sweep.

St. Kate's will host Saint Mary's University on Friday, March 27 at Baseline Tennis Center. The MIAC match is slated to start at 7:30 pm.
