NORTHFIELD, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University basketball team picked up a 54-46 road win over St. Olaf College on Wednesday night inside of Skoglund Athletic Center. The MIAC win puts St. Kate's at 4-7 in conference play and 9-9 overall.
After building a 16-10 lead after one, the Wildcats went cold in the second quarter scoring just four points with the Oles taking it into overtime tied 20-20. St. Kate's responded out of the break wiht its best stretch of the evening, outscoring St. Olaf 19-9 in the third quarter to regain control.
The key moment of the night came midway through the third when junior
Hattie Fox drilled a three-pointer to make it 33-24, a milestone shot that marked her 1000th career point. Fox finished with a game-high 20 points to pace the Wildcats. She becomes the tenth player in program history to achieve the mark
Jordyn Peed added 14 points and recorded six steals, while
Kate Flicek chipped in five points, four rebounds, and three steals.
St. Kate's continues their road schedule as they travel to Hamline University on Saturday for a 1 pm MIAC game.
