Campos earns 100th career win as Wildcats defeat Cobbers 6-0

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University soccer team celebrated a 6-0 defeat of the Concordia College Cobbers as head coach claimed his 100th career victory. Campos in his ninth season at St. Kate's carries a record of 100-33-18 holding the title of the program's most successful coach. This season, St. Kate's is 6-1 overall as the clean sheet marks the Wildcats' second straight shutout in conference play.

The Wildcats controlled possession from the opening whistle, peppering Concordia goalkeeper Julia Roark with early shots. After a string of close chances, Bella Meier broke through in the 16th minute, finishing a pass from Ayah Makled for the game's first goal.

Meier struck again in the 35th minute, this time set up by Ceci Emery, doubling the lead to 2–0. The Wildcats entered halftime having out shot the Cobbers 18–3, with Roark already collecting five saves.

St. Kate's wasted little time after the break. In the 61st minute, Meier completed her first collegiate hat trick, slotting home a feed from Emily Olson. Just over a minute later, Briana Henaman added her first goal of the season, extending the cushion to 4–0.

The Wildcats' attack continued to flow, and in the 73rd minute Lillia Gray converted off an assist from Anna Isaacson. Junior Katie McGrath closed the scoring in the 86th minute, tucking away her first goal this season to make it 6–0.

While the offense shined, the Wildcats' defense locked down the Cobbers. St. Kate's back line limited Concordia to just six total shots and one on goal. Brianna Valdez earned the win with one save in 77 minutes before giving way to Maggie Mueller, who closed out the combined shutout.

St. Catherine travels to face Wisconsin-Eau Claire on Tuesday, September 23. Kickoff is set for 7:30 pm in Eau Claire. The Wildcats return to St. Paul on Saturday, October 4 hosting Carleton College at 1 pm.
