ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University track and field team opened their outdoor season at Hamline University on Saturday afternoon with three athletes recording personal best marks.
Senior
Lily Harvey posted a PR time of 20:31.38 in the 5K coming in 28th overall while
Mist Sit and
Lauren Kennedy appeared for their debut in the event. Sit was 35th overall in at 21:36:09 and Kennedy was ust behind with a time of 21:49.63.
Kaitlyn Peterson competed in the 400-meter run with a time of 1:13.54 and also appeared in the 1500-meter run clocking a time of 5:59.25. The final track event for St. Kate's was the 800-meter run with Isabel Hernandez Monroy debuting a time of 3:23.79.
In the women's hammer throw, senior
Abby Althoff had a PR mark of 38.58m for 11th overall.
Maggie Lewandowski followed with a PR mark of 36.85m in 16th. In the shot put, Lewandowski finished 14th with a mark of 9.57m ahead of Althoff recording a throw of 8.95m. Lewandowski's final event of the meet was the discus throw where she finished 26th with a mark of 26.69m.
The Wildcats will compete again next Saturday as they travel to Bethel University.
