ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University track and field team competed at the Macalester College Janis Rider/Doug Bolstorff Invite on Thursday and Saturday in St. Paul. After the two-day meet, one Wildcats tallied a PR time.
Rookie
Mist Sit improved her 5K time with a new personal best time of 20:17.70 coming in 14th overall. Fellow first-year
Lauren Kennedy also appeared in the event clocking a time of 22:11.32 for 22nd place. The final runner competing for St. Kate's was
Kaitlyn Peterson finishing 25th overall in the 800-meter dash recording a time of 2:44.01.
In the field, sophomore
Maggie Lewandowski competed in the discus and shot put on Saturday. In the discus, she finished 30th with a mark of 27.95m before finishing 32nd in the shot put throwing 9.34m. Senior
Abby Althoff competed in the hammer throw coming in 24th at 35.93m.
Graduate student
Gabby Bodin competed in the University of Montana Open in Missoula appearing in the 100-meter hurdles. Bodin finished eight in her heat with a time of 16.09.
Next up for St. Kate's is the Hamline University Meet of the UnSaintly on Wednesday, April 30 and close out the regular season at St. Olaf on Saturday, May 3.
