MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University tennis team continued their hot streak with a 7-0 non-conference victory over the University of Wisconsin-River Falls Falcons on Saturday afternoon. St. Kate's now sits at 11-3 overall with four regular season matches remaining on the schedule.Â
St. Kate's opened strong in doubles, not dropping a game in the No. 3 match as Ashley King and Monica Zink cruised to a 6-0 win. Kelsey Dorr and Caitlyn Stadter, along with Erica Wing and Faith Simon, each recorded 6-3 victories at the No. 1 and No. 2 spots, respectively.
In singles, the Wildcats' were flawless across all six matches. Dorr led the charge at No. 1 with a 6-1, 6-0 win, and Stadter followed suit at No. 3 with a pair of 6-0 sets. Simon won at No. 2 with a score of 6-2, 6-1. Monica Zink and Liliana Holmberg posted strong wins at No. 4 and No. 5, while Marie Pelletier closed it out at No. 6 with a 6-1, 6-3 victory.
Next up for the Wildcats is another non-conference match hosting University of Northwestern-St. Paul on Tuesday, April 8 at 4:30 pm. The match is scheduled to be played at St. Kate's outdoor courts.Â
