MANKATO, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University track and field team traveled to Minnesota State University, Mankato for the Mark Schuck Open on Saturday collecting two PR's along with one season best performance.
Senior
Lily Harvey had the top performance for the Wildcats finishing sixth in the 5K with a PR time of 21:35.98 scoring three points.
Maggie Lewandowski also recorded a PR mark on Saturday throwing 10.51m in weight throw. Lewandowski also appeared in the shot put posting a mark of 9.29m.
Rookie
Mist Sit was St. Kate's top finisher in the mile crossing the finish line at 6:15.86. Fellow first-years
Lauren Kennedy and
Isabel Hernandez-Monroy also appeared in the mile with Kennedy in at 6:28.49 and Hernandez-Monroy clocking in at 8:09.63.
Sophomore
Kaitlyn Peterson had a season-best performance in the 800-meter run finishing in the top 25 at 2:46.33. The final competitor on Saturday was
Gabby Bodin who competed in the 60m hurdles preliminary trials clocking a time of 10.02 but missing finals.
St. Kate's will travel to Northfield on Saturday, February 8 appearing the Carleton College Meet of Hearts.
