ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University hockey team picked up a 4-3 conference win in overtime on Saturday to improve to 5-13-1 overall.
Paige Loidolt put the Wildcats on the board two minutes into puck drop off a pass from
Raechel Painovich taking an early 1-0 lead. The Cobbers answered four minutes later getting past rookie goalie
Addie Oettinger at 6:48.
Ana Myers recorded her 16th goal of the season taking the lead again at 2-1 with help from first-years
Aubree McDonagh and
Samantha Bogen. McDonagh went on to score her first collegiate goal at 13:21 putting the Wildcats at 3-1 in the first period.
Both teams were scoreless until the Cobbers scored with six minutes left in the game before they scored the tying goal with less than two to play.
Loidolt finished the game the way she started it scoring the overtime winner with over a minute to play in the first OT off a pass from
Ellie Skaja.
Oettinger made 20 saves in the game while Bogen led the shot count firing off ten shots on net.
