ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University track and field team opened the 2025 indoor season at the Vanessa Seljeskog Classic hosted at Macalester College on Saturday with three PR's.
Kaitlyn Peterson finished fourth overall in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:47.04 and rookie
Isabel Hernandez-Monroy debuted in the event for a ninth place finish clocking in at 3:21.49.
In the mile, first-year
Lauren Kennedy posted a sixth place time of 6:27.35 just ahead of Peterson in seventh with a time of 6:34.74.
Lily Harvey was the final Wildcat to compete in running events appeared in the 3K. The senior finished with a PR time of 12:26.20, good for seventh place.
In the shot put, sophomore
Maggie Lewandowski had a PR day with an eighth place mark of 9.56m while senior
Abby Althoff finished ninth with a mark of 8.54m. Lewandowski recorded another PR at the meet finishing tenth in the weight throw with a mark of 10.20m. Althoff finished ahead of Lewandowski in the event coming in eighth at 10.77m.
St. Kate's will travel to Minnesota State University, Mankato on Saturday, February 1 for the team's next indoor meet.
