NORTHFIELD, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University basketball team returned to the win collum with a dominating MIAC win over the Carleton College Knights led by senior
Greta Schimnowski. The 81-54 victory over he Knights puts St. Kate's at 3-6 in MIAC play with an overall record of 8-8.Â
The game saw St. Catherine lead from start to finish, outscoring Carleton in every quarter. Schimnowski led with 23 points, while Hattie Fox added 13 and Maddie Young chipped in 12. St. Catherine shot 50% from the field, including 39.3% from three-point range, and dominated in points off turnovers (27) and points in the paint (34).
Despite shooting 40% overall, Carleton struggled from beyond the arc, hitting just 6 of 23 three-point attempts. They were also outpaced in second-chance points (17 to 10) and points off turnovers (27 to 8).
St. Kate's will host the conference leading Bethel Royals on Saturday, Jan 25 with a 1 pm scheduled time at Butler Center.Â
