ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University basketball team picked up their second straight loss taking a tough 74-45 loss to the Hamline University Pipers. St. Kate's is 2-6 in MIAC play with a 7-8 overall record.
Hattie Fox recorded 14 points with nine rebounds and two assists shooting 7-8 from the free throw line.
Emme Golembiewski had a five rebound game with two assists as the balance of the Wildcats were cursed with turnovers.
Hamline dominated the first 20 minutes building a 26 point lead going into halftime. Coming out the half, the Wildcats found some momentum putting up a game best 16 point third quarter. Fox was clutch in the third shooting 100 percent scoring nine points.
Headed into the final quarter, the Wildcats trailed by 32 but outscored the Pipers 14-11 led by rookie
Kate Flicek with five points and three rebounds.
St. Catherine is on the road again Wednesday as they travel to Carleton College for the two teams first match up since the 2022-23 season.
