ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University soccer team shutout the visiting University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Blugolds on Saturday morning with a 2-0 victory to improve to 2-0 on the season.
St. Kate's junior
Natalie Pfleger scored her first goal of the season in the 21st minute assisted by graduate student
Claire Cater earning the game winner.
The Wildcats second goal was scored by graduate student
Ari Green for her second of the season with an assist from
Kallie Tuominen in the 63rd minute of play for the 2-0 win.
The Blugolds were held off by the Wildcats defenders only getting off two shots on goal to St. Kate's nine. Pfleger led the shot count for St. Kate's with six shots total and four on net.
St. Kate's returns to action Sunday hosting non-conference foe, UW-Oshkosh at 2 pm.
