RIVER FALLS, Wis. -- The St. Catherine University soccer team traveled across the border to faced the University of Wisconsin-River Falls on Wednesday evening playing to a 2-2 draw. St. Kate's record after the non-conference game against the Falcons is now 5-2-1.
River Falls was on the board first scoring in the 26th minute of play just before rookie
Lydia Benson added her third goal of the season at 29:23 in the first to knot it at 1-1. Benson's goal was assisted by
Ari Green and Briana Hennaman The tie only lasted for four minutes though with the Falcons scoring with a eleven minutes left in the half for the 2-1 lead.
In the 83rd minute, Green added her fifth of the season and third in the last two games to tied the contest again with help from
Natalie Pfleger.
Rookie
Emily Olson led the shot count for St. Kate's contributing three on goal while Green added two.
Kate Praetz made three saves in the game facing just five shots.
