Box Score MOORHEAD, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University tennis team opened the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) season with an 8-1 defeat of the Concordia College Cobbers in Moorhead on Sunday afternoon. St. Kate's is now 2-0 on the season. 

Kelsey Dorr and Anna Luksik won at No. 1 doubles 8-7 with the tiebreaker at 7-4 while Marie Pelletier and Faith Simon also won at No. 3 doubles by the same score. Erica Wing and Monica Zink grabbed the other doubles point winning at No. 2 by a score of 8-3. 

In singles play, Dorr took down the Cobbers No. 1 player by a score of 6-1, 6-0 and Simon won at No. 3 7-5, 6-1. Erin Loterbauer earned a point for St. Kate's at No. 4 defeating her opponent 6-3, 6-4 and Zink was successful at No. 5 by a score of 7-6, 6-2. The team's final singles point was scored by Liliana Holmberg with a dominating 6-0, 6-1 score. The Cobbers lone point was at No. 2 singles with Luksik falling 6-3, 6-3. 

St. Kate's will host Macalester College on Friday, March 1 at 6:30 pm at Baseline Tennis Center on the campus of the University of Minnesota.
