Box Score MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University tennis team opened the spring season with a 9-0 defeat of non-conference opponent, Martin Luther College on Friday afternoon at Baseline Tennis Center. 

Kelsey Dorr and Anna Luksik appeared at No. 1 doubles with an 8-4 victory. At No. 2, Erica Wing and Monica Zink downed the Knights No. 2 doubles team, 8-1 and Faith Simon and Marie Pelletier played at No. 3 with an 8-1 win. 

Dorr defeated her opponent at No. 1 6-0, 6-0  while Luksik won at No. 2 6-3, 6-2. Simon played at No. 3 with a 6-0 sweep while Erin Loterbauer defeated the No. 4 singles player 6-0, 6-1. At No. 5 for St. Kate's was Zink picking up a 6-0, 6-1 win as well as Lily Holmberg at No. 6 also posting a 6-0, 6-1 victory. 

St. Kate's will open the conference season on Sunday as they travel to Concordia College in Moorhead for a 1 pm match.
