Basketball finishes regular season with tough loss to Bennies

ST. JOSEPH, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University basketball team dropped a tough one to the College of Saint Benedict on the road. Despite their best efforts, the Wildcats suffered a stinging 26-point loss. 

The Bennies maintained a dominate lead throughout the game struggling the Wildcats to catch up. Despite the setback, Hattie Fox contributed 14 points with five rebounds. Karis Zezza had six points with four boards and Greta Schimnowski added six. All fourteen players contributed to the box score on Saturday while shooting 15 for 18 from the charity line as a team. 

The historic regular season closes with an overall record of 18-7 going 14-6 in the MIAC to finish third overall. The Wildcats will host the No. 6 seed Hamline University Pipers on Tuesday, February 20 for the first-ever home MIAC playoff game for St. Kate's.
