ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University hockey team played their final home game of the 2023-24 season falling to the College of Saint Benedict Bennies 6-1.
St. Kate's first-year
Lilly Gillespie was responsible for the Wildcats lone goal scoring in the 11th minute of play assisted by
Emmie Verhaagh and
Samantha Lackmann.
The Wildcats were able to hold off the Bennies until the 3rd minute of the second period as they scored their first power play goal. They went on to score five more goals before the Wildcats made a goalie change eight minutes into the third.
St. Kate's will travel to St. Cloud on Saturday for a 6 pm game against the Bennies to close out the season.
