Myers adds two in Wildcats 4-2 loss to Stevens Point

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The St. Catherine Univeristy hockey team closed out the non-conference series with the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point on Saturday with a 4-2 loss to the Pointers.

First-year Ana Myers led the way for St. Kate's tying the game less than a minute into the second period with help from Samantha Bogen. The Pointers answered shortly after with an unassisted goal at  3:04 and scored again on a power play five minutes later taking a 3-1 lead.

Myers struck again in the third period to get within one before the Pointers added one more cushion goal to finish 4-2.

St. Kate's is home again on Friday as they open the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) season hosting the Bethel University Royals at 7 pm. They travel to Blaine on Saturday for game two of the conference series for a 7 pm game at the SuperRink.
