MENDOTA HEIGHTS, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University swimming and diving team finished day two of the WildBear Invite on Friday at Two Rivers Aquatic Center, Concordia University, St. Paul's home pool.
Friday's finals session opened with the 200-yard freestyle relay with St. Kate's A relay comprised of
Emma Svendsen,
Ava Hacker,
Jordyn Grotbo, and
Ella Hochstetler clocked in at 1:40.29 in sixth overall.
Svendsen was third in the 400-yard individual medley touching the wall at 4:37.60 while
Olivia Weil placed sixth with a time of 4:45.09 and
J Dombroski was in at 4:47.31, in eighth.
Jordyn Grotbo claimed the top time in the 200-yard freestyle in eleventh in at 1:59.24. In the 100-yard breaststroke, Weil finished sixth with a time of 1:07.79 and
Avery Doom finished tenth in at 1:10.35. Dombroski also appeared in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:12.12 in 13th.
Hochstetler was fourth in the 100-yard backstroke with a finals time of 58.66 while Svendsen was just behind at 59.41.
Richanta Pollard tallied the Wildcats top time in the 200-yard butterfly touching the wall at 2:37.99 and
Eloise McKeon finished in 2:44.96.
On the 3 mtr board,
Macey Morgan finished fourth with a career best eleven dive score of 304.35.
Madeline Galazen finished seventh on the 3 mtr board with a score of 220.00 and
Juliet Peterson was just behind with a score of 2:11.30.
The finals session wrapped up with the 400-yard medley relay with the team of Hochstetler, Weil, Svendsen and Grotbo in fourth with a time of 4:00.51.
The final day of the WildBear Invite is slated to begin with preliminary trials at 10 am followed by diving at 2 pm and finals set for 5:30 pm.
