Wildcats down Pipers 2-0

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University soccer team earned a 2-0 shutout over the visiting Hamline University Pipers on Wednesday afternoon advancing the Wildcats to an overall 9-2-4 record sitting 6-0-3 in conference play. 

St. Kate's graduate forward Claire Cater tallied her third goal of her time in purple and gold off a pass from junior Briana Henaman in the 26th minute. The Wildcats continued to pepper the Pipers putting up seven shots on goal in the first 45 minutes. 

Graduate defender, Mallory Johnson recorded her first of the season off a corner from first-year Emily Olson. Johnson's goal put the Wildcats up 2-0 in the 66th minute.  

St. Kate's will host the Concordia College for senior day at home on Saturday, October 26 with kick off scheduled for 1 pm. The Wildcats have three games remaining in the regular season including the conference match up against Concordia. St. Kate's currently is third in the MIAC with 21 conference points and two MIAC games to play.
