ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University hockey team dropped a heart breaker to the No. 2 ranked Gustavus Adolphus College Golden Gusties on Saturday afternoon by a score of 1-0. 

St. Catherine held the Gusties off through the first two periods with senior goaltender Abby Severson making 33 saves while the defense made eight blocks. The Gusties goal was scored with over seven minutes remaining getting past Severson to take the 1-0 lead. Severson went on to make 39 saves total while St. Kate's was 100 percent on the penalty kill. 

Up next for St. Kate's is a conference series against St. Olaf College playing in Northfield on Friday, February 2 before returning home on Saturday, February 3 for a 2 pm game against the Oles.
