BLAINE, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University hockey team competed against the Bethel University Royals on Tuesday evening at the National Sports Center in Blaine. The Royals topped the Wildcats 1-0 in the non-conference game on the road Tuesday evening.
"We saw some really good things from our team tonight", said head coach
Brad Marshall. "Plays that we created from hard work and competing for nearly 60 minutes. We didn't play a complete game, but we had plenty of opportunities."
Both teams were scoreless through the first two periods with the Royals scoring halfway through the third. The lone goal of the game was the result of a power play opportunity for the Royals on a tripping penalty from
Ellie Skaja.
St. Kate's travels to St. Peter, Minnesota on Friday night facing the No. 2 ranked Gustavus Adolphus Golde Gusties before returning to Drake Arena on Saturday for game two the conference series with the Gusties at 2 pm.
