ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University hockey team dropped a tough conference game falling 9-0 to the Hamline University Pipers on Saturday afternoon at Tria Rink. The loss puts the Wildcats at 5-8-1 overall with a MIAC record of 1-6-1.
Hamline scored back to back goals in the first five minutes of the opening period adding one more before the end to make it 3-0 headed into the first intermission.
The Pipers added three more in the second period, two of which were power play goals and sealed it with three in the third.
St. Kate's will face Saint Mary's University on Friday, January 19 at Drake Arena. The conference game is scheduled for 7 pm.
