DULUTH, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University soccer team tallied their seventh shutout of the season with a 2-0 win over the College of St. Scholastica Saints at Kenny Harkin Field in Duluth. The Wildcats improve to 8-2-0 with a perfect 4-0 MIAC record.
Sophomore midfielder
Natalie Pfleger scored her first goal of the season and first career game winner finding the back of the net in the 26th minute of play. Pfleger's goal carried the Wildcats through the first half as senior
Ari Green scored her eighth goal of the season coming out of the half. Green had help on her goal from fifth-year
Amanda Elton with her fifth assist this season to rank third overall in the MIAC tied with Green. Green's goal leaves her second overall in the conference and 26th in Division III.
Senior goalkeeper
Kate Praetz tallied her seventh shutout and eighth win over the season as she leads the MIAC in a handful of categories. Most impressively, Praetz currently ranks second in Division III for shutouts just one shutout behind the national leader, Jade Press, from the University of Texas-Dallas.
The Wildcats return to St. Paul on Saturday hosting conference foe, the College of Saint Benedict Bennies at 1 pm.
