ORLANDO, Fla. -- The St. Catherine University tennis team came up short in a 5-4 loss to William Smith College on Thursday morning in their final match in Orlando.
In singles play, the Wildcats claimed wins at No. 1, No. 5 and No. 6.
Kelsey Dorr downed her opponent at No. 1 by a decisive 6-3, 6-1 score. At No. 5, first-year
Anna Luksik dropped the first set 6-0 before battling back to a 6-2 score in the next set and claiming the tiebreaker 10-4.
Lily Vang played the No. 6 match taking set one 6-3 but was edged out in set two 6-1. Vang was able to fight back to claim the match in the tiebreaker 10-6.
Sofia Walker was defeated at No. 2 singles with scores of 6-3, 6-3 and
Elsa Joly dropped the No. 3 match 7-5, 6-4. William Smiths final singles point came at No. 4 edging out
Monica Zink 6-3, 6-3.

Erica Wing earned the team's lone doubles point with a 8-7 win at No. 2. Dorr and Walker dropped their first doubles match of the season falling 8-7 at No. 1 and Luksik and Zink lost at No. 3 8-4.
The Wildcats return to conference play after returning to Minnesota as they travel to Winona to face Saint Mary's University on April 2.
