ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University volleyball team defeated the No. 3 ranked team in Division III in a reverse sweep on Saturday evening at the University of Northwestern-St. Paul. The win over the Eagles is the highest ranked win the program has collected since joining the NCAA improving the Wildcats to 15-9. 
Senior 
Maggie Rosen tallied a career-best 22 kills in the five set reverse sweep hitting .378 including three blocks. Fellow senior 
Claire Segner tallied a match best 27 digs while 
Liz Rosen collected 20 digs to go along with her five kills. 
The No. 3 ranked Eagles came out strong in the first set defeating the Wildcats 25-12. St. Kate's found steam in set two knotting the match four times and taking an early 3-0 lead before falling 25-19. 
Set three started out in favor of St. Kate's again with a quick 4-0 run as the Eagles were able to tied the set twice. St. Kate's didn't allow Northwestern to take the lead though downing the Eagles 25-20. 
The Wildcats maintained the momentum into the fourth set carrying the lead throughout to force a fifth a final set with a score of 25-21. The Eagles started out the final set 3-0 but the Wildcats rallied back to knot it at 5-5 and again at 6-6. M. Rosen tallied the team's final three kills taking the set 15-13. 
St. Catherine returns to Butler Center on Monday, November 6 hosting the No. 5 seed Bethel University Royals at 7 pm for the first round of the MIAC Playoffs.
