NORTHFIELD, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University soccer team dropped their first Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) game of the season falling to Carleton College 2-1 in Northfield. St. Kate's record falls to 10-3 overall with an MIAC record of 5-1-0.
The Carleton Knights were on the board first scoring an unassisted goal in the third minute of play. They added their second goal less than six minutes later to hold a 2-0 advantage for the majority of play.
Amanda Elton snapped the Knights shot at a shutout scoring her sixth of the season in the 83rd minute of play. Elton's goal was assisted by senior
Ari Green for her fifth of the season leading the Wildcats.
The Wildcats will host Gustavus Adolphus College on Wednesday, October 11 at 4 pm at St. Kate's Field.
