ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University soccer team posted a 3-0 victory over the Hamline University Pipers on Wednesday afternoon in another record setting game for the Wildcats. Fifth-year
Amanda Elton led the charge in the conference win improving St. Kate's record to 13-3 while 8-1 in the MIAC.
Elton secured the game winner and tallied her 49th career goal in the 11th minute of play to become the program's all-time career goal leader for St. Kate's surpassing Mindy Daughtery who played for the purple and gold from 1999 to 2002.
Sophomore
Briana Henaman tallied the team's second goal after nearly 50 minutes of scoreless play for her fifth of the season. The team's third and final goal was also scored by Elton for her 50th career goal with ten minutes remaining in the game and become the program's all-time points leader. Elton also holds the program's all-time assists record with 23 in her five seasons.
Senior
Kate Praetz secured her eleventh shutout of the season to lead all Division III goalkeepers. Praetz is also now 4th all-time for career shutouts in the MIAC.
St. Catherine is on the road again on Saturday traveling to Moorhead, Minnesota to face Concordia College at 3:30 pm.
