ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University soccer team defeated Macalester College 3-1 in a MIAC battle on Saturday afternoon at St. Kate's Field. The win is the third consecutive 3-1 win over the Scots and eighth straight win or tie against Macalester. St. Kate's is now 12-3 overall with an MIAC record of 7-1

Amanda Elton put the Wildcats on the board in the 19th minute of play off an assist from first-year

Ari Green added a goal in the 53rd minute for her 13th of the year with an assist going to sophomore
Briana Henaman.
Macalester scored their lone goal just under six minutes later after a scrum in front of the net.
Green and Henaman switched roles for the Wildcats final goal as Henaman found the back of the net off a pass from Green in with 23 minutes remaining in the game. Green ranks first in the MIAC for goals with 13 total this season while sitting 25th overall in Division III.Â
Henaman led the Wildcats with six shots on goal while Green contributed four. Senior goalkeeper
Kate Praetz earned her 12th win of season making three saves.Â
