ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University soccer team dropped their first Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) contest of the season falling 1-0 to the Hamline University Pipers. St. Kate's is now 4-3-2 on the season with an MIAC record of 1-1-1.
The Wildcats owned the shot count again tallying 13 shots on goal to the Pipers just three, including their goal in the 58th minute.
St. Kate's fired off eight shots on goal in the second half of the contest holding Hamline to zero.
Kallan Tuominen and
Sofia Campbell each had three shots on net while
Amanda Elton,
Kendra Lingman, and
Emily Hinze added two each.
Junior
Kate Praetz played 71 minutes of the contest making two saves and allowing the Pipers game-winner.
The Wildcats travel to Gustavus Adolphus on Saturday for a 1 pm contest in St. Peter. The team will play at home again the following Saturday hosting Macalester at 1 pm.
