WINONA, Minn. -- The St. Catherine soccer team finished their second contest in a row in a draw, this time with Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) foe, Saint Mary's University. The Wildcats are now 4-2-2 on the season with a conference record of 1-0-1.
St. Kate's goal was scored by senior
Amanda Elton in the 17th minute of play assisted by senior
Sofia Campbell. The Wildcats held the lead until the 34th minute with the Cardinals adding the tying goal.
Despite being unable to find the back of the net, the Wildcats dominated the shot count in the second half firing off ten shots on goal to the Cardinals zero. Elton owned the count with five shots on goal in the game followed by
Lauren Witte with four and Kallan Tuominen contributing three.
St. Kate's returns home on Tuesday, September 27 hosting Hamline University at 4 pm.
