ARDEN HILLS, Minn. -- The St. Catherine softball team concluded their season on Saturday falling to Bethel 5-2 in the second round of the MIAC Playoffs. The Wildcats finished the season 22-18 with an MIAC record of 14-8.
The Wildcats held Bethel until the bottom of the second when the Royals added one taking the lead. The Royals went on to add four more runs in the bottom of the fourth.
St. Kate's cut Bethel's shutout in the top of the sixth as
Lindsay Burr scored off a single from
Julia Azure. The Wildcats final run of the game came in the top of the seventh with Kaitlin Boyles driving home
Alex Ehde scoring her 111th career run.
Montero took the loss in the circle with six strikeouts.
Annabelle Schutte pitched the final two innings allowing just one hit.
