NORTHFIELD, Minn. -- The St. Catherine tennis team dropped their first Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) contest of the season with an 8-1 loss to Carleton College on the road. The Wildcats are now 7-2 overall with a 4-1 conference record.
St. Catherine's lone point against the talented Carleton Knights came from the No. 3 doubles position played by junior
Elsa Joly and senior
Reilee Schepper with a 8-5 defeat. Junior
Kelsey Dorr and junior
Sofia Walker fell 8-5 at No. 1 doubles while graduate student
Bri Dorr and junior
Monica Zink were defeated 8-3.
K. Dorr played a close match at No. 1 singles falls 6-4, 6-4 and Walker fell at No. 2 6-0, 6-2. At No. 3, B. Dorr was defeated 6-0, 6-2 while Joly dropped the No. 4 singles match 6-2, 6-3. Schepper lost at No. 4 6-1, 6-0 and Zink lost her first singles match of the season 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6.
